Tough Questions Christians Face
sds:
Media from the 2010 Ligonier Ministries conferences is up. Some of the phenomenal topics include:
- How do we know which interpretation is right?
- Is the exclusivity of Christ unjust?
- Why do Christians still sin?
- Is the doctrine of inerrancy defensible?
- Does the doctrine of divine decrees eliminate human will?
- Why does the universe look so old?
- If God is good, how could He command holy war?
All the video is streaming for free.
I couldn’t make it through. I’m sorry. I tried. I got about 12 minutes into the “How do we know which interpretation is right?” when I heard that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God because it says that it is the inerrant Word of God. It was too circular. (And this is leaving aside the problem with whether the Bible actually claims to be inerrant in its presently assembled and translated form.)
I really like the Bible. I’ll go as far as infallible. But inerrant based on apologetically circular reasoning is too much to swallow.

I’m trying to get through the “How do we know which interpretation is right.” Derek Thomas is currently listing parts of speech in the Bible to emphasize that all of them are God’s word. And it’s taking a while to buffer, which makes it go very slow.
